To The Reader #

I’ve trashed a bunch of the old letters. They were really old. When things go more far back than 2007, I get iffy. I don’t feel comfortable with that part of the past… so I just want to forget it all.
In fact, last night I started deleting emails from my inbox from that long ago. I don’t know why I still kept them. Yes, I still use the same email address I had then. Strange, isn’t it?
I’ve written more letters though, as part of my A Letter To A Domain collection. I really enjoy writing them. I think they might be the only ones I will keep on writing. Other letters are just too personal to share, even if I were to change names.
I’m in the middle of writing a book right now. Amiable Serendipity was a book I did write a while back, but after it was complete (I still don’t think it is complete), I did not feel comfortable with it, and my writing style had changed so much over the years. I was only 15 or 16 when I wrote that, and it made me feel insecure knowing that the entire book encompassed many personal life events. It’s not a story I’ve put out into the public.
I don’t think the one I am writing will be either, until I am 100% comfortable with it. I also feel a little worried that people might copy my words. I’m not sure why I don’t feel that way about my current writings… but maybe because I have ambitions for this book.

New layout: Love is blind #

I was inspired to create this layout after looking at my layouts on Heartdrops and Celestine.me. I felt like I had created them with a similar structure and I wanted to do the same! I was sick of the previous brown layout (only up for a month) and I wanted something brighter and cleaner.
I took the photo myself; I had to brighten it and edit it with colour overlays. I had trouble choosing the font for the site name, but in the end I chose SD KwangSoo because it was simple and not overly decorative. I had a problem finding fonts too thick or too thin!
I also made the textured background myself; I’m really proud of that. :)
I haven’t added much over the months but I’m hoping to write a few more of those domain letters I love writing – as well as removing anything too old or not worth posting. I do like my essays but I might take them down because it would be nice to have a focus on my poetry.
New theme and ideas… #

Grr, why is it that all my domains except Heartdrops.org point to the new server fine?! :O It worked, I blogged, then it went bonkers again. Not cool. :(
Oh well, I’ll live with it for another few days, it’ll be alright. :)
I’ve put up a new theme here. The tagline is an excerpt from my poem Broken, one of the ones I’ve written this year.
I am in love with the line “ribbed with dusk, the stream intones requiem for restless blood” from the poem Water-Music by Gwen Harwood. I’m trying to put a lovely line on a photo of flowers, but I was after something more original so I’m snooping my poems to find any good lines. :P

Better Days #

My host is moving to a VPS (virtual private server) but I thought I’d provide a proper update here. I know the layout might be getting boring but I quite like it… the only change I might be putting in is a change in the header. :)
I can’t remember if there were essays I could add… but there are some new poems I wrote recently, and some new lyrics as well.
I’ll be backing up this database after this post so hopefully nothing will be lost with the server move. <3

Dreaming in Song #

Ahaaa. Relief. I have added all – yeah that’s right – all of the Fuack episodes. Head on over to the ‘other’ section. :)
I was going to write a little episode for an “aftermath” sort of thing… since late last year, I saw Bearman at the train station and he had the bleeded guts to apologise for all the shit that happened. I didn’t get around to adding it or writing it. But there is the final episode which is previously unpublished, so… roll.
I’ve fixed up the permalinks to remove the annoying /index.php in the URLs, and I’ve edited the theme just a little – the line height is bigger. :3
Tradition’s Influence on Facets of Modernity is my recently added essay. I wrote it in 2009 – I got a credit for it, which isn’t that amazing. But I’m pretty proud about it anyway. I obviously didn’t get around to adding it until now.
I handed the domain RubyTears.info to my friend Jenn, hence I wrote a new letter to RubyTears.
Mini story here – I had a poll asking people to vote for a domain name related to Armor For Sleep – neverfly was an option. It came from their song ‘Slip Like Space’.
A few days later someone (remaining unnamed even though I know who that person is now) had registered neverfly.org. Highly pissed me off, and I wrote a little letter – but to neverfly.net. I’m a little proud of this piece of work and the references to Vicky’s domain and some Armor For Sleep songs.
I wanted the domain… but I’m in limbo now, because I don’t want someone to have the same name with a personal site… scrooyew.
